Angang Wire Rope Co., Ltd. (former name: Wire Rope Factory of Ansteel Group Co., Ltd.), with a long history, was founded in 1939. Our company has become one of the large-scale key enterprises in the metal product industry in China. Our company is the chairman unit of Executive Council of Wire Rod Products Industry Society of China Steel Association, the president unit of Metallurgy Statistics Metal Products Branch, and the standing executive council unit of China Ropeway Association. Our company is an important base for the production of mine wire ropes, and a cradle of metal products of China. We are supported and constructed by Guizhou Steel Wire Rope Co., Ltd., Ningxia Hengli Steel Wire Rope Co., Ltd., and Steel Wire Rope Factory of Xiangtan Steel Croup. Various Angang Brand steel wires and steel wire ropes manufactured by our company have been in great demand and some of them are sold in international markets. In 2000, our company passed the certification of ISO9001 quality system. Our company has become a national first-class enterprise and measurement organization. ANGANG Brand is a national famous trademark.Our plant covers a land area of 200,000-odd square meters and possesses total assets of 270 million RMB. We have 1,328 employees, including 396 technical personnel from different disciplines.Always aiming at continuously satisfying customers' requirements, our company has been uninterruptedly renewing and transforming our production processes and equipment. The regenerative heat treatment continuous production line and the leading large triangle wire rope machine were designed by our company at home. The leading galvanized production line with intellectual property right was also designed and made by our company. Our company purchased 1.8m rope machine that can produce large diameter and long length wire ropes. As a result, our company now is able to produce 40,000 tons of various wire ropes and 20,000 tons of all kinds of merchandise steel wires per year. We have successfully developed and started the batch production of triangular strand wire ropes, electric shovel wire ropes, plane contact wire ropes, flat wire ropes, non-rotating wire ropes (including multi-layer strand wire ropes, oval strand wire ropes, three-strand wire ropes and four-strand wire ropes), cable-way wire ropes for sight-seeing purpose, hauling wire ropes for belt conveyers, special high-strength galvanized wire ropes, elevator hoisting wire ropes, galvanized wires for steel-cored aluminum strand and galvanized strand wires, totally more than 1000 sizes and 60-odd varieties in 14 categories. "Quality First" is always the production policy of our company. Relying on the advantage of ANGANG - an integrated enterprise, our company has strictly carried out a fine material policy for raw materials. We produce with advanced technology in accordance with the internal standards which are higher than the national standards. In our company, there is an independent quality control department furnished with complete range of accurate apparatuses for chemical analysis and test. Our laboratory won the national certificate in 2001. Stringent control is exercised over the entire production process to ensure each single step is under control. By doing so, good quality of final finished products can thus be guaranteed. Our company was awarded National Silver Prize in 1990 and Golden Prize for Metallurgical Products in 1993 for our electric shovel wire ropes. Six varieties of our products, including linear contact lay wire ropes, galvanized wire ropes, and galvanized wires for steel-cored aluminum strand, were awarded by the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry with the title of Excellent Products. Mining wire ropes were awarded Golden Cup Prize for actual quality of metallurgical products by China Iron & Steel Association.
