Farmers Produce Enterprise Is a world-class company engaged in processing various products from the coconut, with the expertise of Mr. L. N. Javier, an expert in the field of the crude coconut oil manufacturing, processing, plant operation as well as international trading. His experience include managing different coconut companies as early as the 1950's. Today, he continues to pursue product development for higher value commodity from the coconut. This expertise, together with the recent scientific studies that show the health properties of the coconut make Farmers Produce Enterprise, a viable and high potential company. Farmers Produce Enterprise Manufactures high value products derived from the coconut. The main products currently in production are coconut sugar or sap sweetener (crystallized form) . The raw material base for these products is coconut sap (toddy) . Coconut sap is tapped from unopened spathe (inflorescence of coconut) . Recent studies have shown that coconut sap has high nutritional value and provides a low-glycemic index healthy alternative. Other products like coconut syrup, coconut honey, coconut vinegar, and high energy drinks are also currently in product development. Farmers Produce Enterprise is currently developing and using the latest technology in the production of virgin coconut oil and its sub-products like coconut skim milk, protein isolates, coconut ice cream and coconut juice. Other by-products further processed from the above products is coconut meal (sapal) that is made into coconut flour and coco-dietary fiber. The plant of Farmers Produce Enterprise is located 20 kms. from Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte. With approximately 120 hectares of coconut farmland owned by the Berands, with an additional 200 hectares of surrounding coconut farms committed to supply Farmers Produce Enterprise. The coconut farms in this region do not use pesticide and fertilizers as it is located adjacent to the ocean. The ocean breeze provides sodium, the best natural fertilizer for coconuts. Each product uses different methods of processing from heating, drying, fermenting and other processes.
