GazLanNaThai began as a Fair Trade international marketing channels for handicrafts from home-based businesses and disadvantaged minorities in the North of Thailand. Today we continue working within that sector and have expanded to include production of our own ranges, which allows us to offer sustainable home-based employment to additional groups.99% of our production is exported (from Thailand) to customers that span almost 200 countries and territories. Historically we have primarily retailed and delivered small-lot wholesale orders. From mid-2009, we are moving more concertedly into bulk and wholesale supply, whilst reducing retail - this will leave marketplace gaps that trade customers can fill easily and acquire existing retail customers with knowledge and acceptance of the products. We are particularly interested in supplying retail outlets specialising in Fair Trade and eco-friendly merchandise, with or without Fair Trade organisation registrations.Our focus is on traditional skills retention and transfer. Almost every product we sell is handmade, and uses natural and traditional materials from sustainable sources. Where possible we look for product-source synergies - for example, our mulberry bark papers use the bark from cultivated trees whose leaves are the food of the silk worms from whose cocoons our silk products are made.Handmade and home-made does not mean inferior quality. In fact it often assures superior quality as more care and attention to detail can be given to individual items. Our out-workers and supplier groups take great pride in providing high quality products at prices that are sustainable. Our direct-employed production teams are supervised to ensure quality is to western expectations.Excluding currency exchange-rate shifts, many of our products have had no price change since we launched in 2003 - we now price only in Thai Baht in order to maintain price-stability, and customers in many countries have stated they appreciate this approach. Overall management of operations is conducted by an Anglo-Thai family enterprise, combining local knowledge, business networking, and product access, with international experience and knowledge of your service expectations, plus ease of communication using either language.We know you will love our products, and we will work with you to provide mutually beneficial service levels. We are extremely flexible in how your orders are handled, it only needs communication and understanding to join our long-term regularly-buying trade customers list.Remember, many of our products are unique and not commonly available outside of Thailand.
