Washed forwards through northern India, this is exceptional clay for terracotta, which on firing gives a rich ethenic look. Our terracotta pottery is very popular in Eastern India with primitive designs, created by the caring hands of potters. The production process though mainly hand thrown and hand designed, but also involves press machine, slip casting and jiggering depending on the size, shape and function of the ware. All our products are high fired at 1050 degree centrigrade, which makes them robust and long lasting. Our bake ware, kitchenware and tableware are micro oven safe, non-toxic (lead and cadmium free) as tested by professional organisation, dishwasher safe, making them suitable for use in resort hotels and restaurants successfully and eco friendly. Normal washing by hand with detergent is recommended, the pottery should then be left to air dry, before placing them on delicate surface like polished wood. This is no common terracotta: The clay is sourced from the Ganges, close to where the sacred river feeds out into the sea. This is exceptionally fine clay for pottery. This crockery is totally free from lead or cadmium. Tableware, each piece is hand thrown on the wheel and the pots are high fired up to1050 degree centrigrade.
