Layne bowler's history can be traced to 1882, when the American inventor mr. Mahlon layne drilled his first well and found himself in need to a different pump to get the water from the drilled well. He understood that this pump should be different from all the pumps, which were existing at that time. In 1903 mr. Layne and entrepreneur mr. P. D bowler joined in a manufacturing venture called layne / bowler, which had spread from the mississippi basin west and overseas. Since 1904, the date of producing the first mechanically operated vertical turbine and layne bowler has its leading position in water treatment industry. In Turkey, layne bowler pump company, was established together with the americans in 1965. The shares of the americans remain stable until 1974, when the turkish government took over the management and layne bowler becomes a 100% public company. In 1994, layne bowler pump company, become a 100% private company. Today, on 42. 000 m2 area, layne bowler is serving to all over the world its high class engineering pumps by being a reliable and leader brand. In addition to the verti layne brand, layne bowler has introduced to world some other brands, such as sub layne for submersible pumps, sew layne for sewage pumps, geo layne for geothermal layne and centri layne for centrifugal pumps.
