PT. Gajah Putih Elastic Indonesia

Gajah putih was found in 1980 by mr. Hartono irawan and has become since then one of the leasing manufactures in narrow fabrics technology for underware industry, furniture industry, clothing and garment industry, shoelace and many other specific fields. In 2001, a fire devastated the entire plant. An emergency location had to be found, new machinery and new equipment had to be bought, from simple paper clips to forklift truck. Only 10 weeks after the fire, the first order left the temporary factory. Meanwhile a completely new building has been erected. The production has re-started on different location and new company name under pt. Gajah putih elastic. At this moment, our production capacity of knittin elastic 8 million yards/month, woven elastic 10 million yards/month and dying capacity of 18 million yards/month. The production is intergrated in the factory starting from processing, twisting and interlacing, rubber covering, warping, knitting woven and dying. Pt. Gajah putih elastic industries strives for developing and marketing a unique range of products, the qualities of which are base upon gajah putih superior knowledge of narrow fabric technology. Furhermore we work with total quality management. This implies that everybody is quality minded and continuously striving for inprovement. The manufacturing process is controlled by each section unit which results in maximum quality of the finished product and worked out the specifications that every product must meet. For this purpose, we have developed a special laboratory division which responsible for the quality control and for research and development.
