South Plastic Industry Co, Ltd. Was established in 1981. Focusing on the market of high-class food packaging containers, it has become the first company that imported OPS food packaging containers into Taiwan. In 1993, in order to strengthen competency with products diversity, Chupa Inc was founded in Chungli, dedicating itself to the production of advanced and various food-packaging materials to render its service to a broad range of clients. SPI reinforce products step by step, not only through endeavors to research and develop, but also with progressive technological enhancement from Japan. SPI produce a variety of plastic food containers under the regulation of Food Safety Department, which are made of OPS, HIPS, PP, and PET. It also develops and designs custom products according to clients demands. In addition, the compound plastic materials it has successfully developed help to enhance the beautyness and usefulness of its products. Thanks to the lightness, non-toxicity and ecological orientation of the products, it became the future of the market. Therefore, whenever new products enter the market, they turn into the objects of imitation from competitors. Because of the products' excellent value and quality, business grew rapidly. In April 2002, the factory was set in Ping-Tung with total employee of 200 and the name of South Plastic Industry Co., Ltd. was decided; it aims to continue serving the food packaging industry with a broad vision to meet the ever advancing market.
