Shenzhen Syscan Technology Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Syscan Technology Holdings Limited that is a public company listed in Hong Kong, with the registration capital of USD$12,000,000 and the total capital of USD$19,250,000. We have more than 230 employees. As the pioneer of CIS (Contact Image Sensor) technology, Syscan was born in Silicon Valley in 1995 engaged in optical sensors and imaging technology R&D; built up production base in China in 1996; developed the world's first portable mobile scanner in 1997; and in 1999 our mobile digital products began to sell in large quantity. In April 2000, our company was listed in Hong Kong. In 2001, Syscan built up our hi-tech industry park in Shenzhen. The industry park covers an area of 250,000 square meters. The plants covers a total area of 16,000 square meters, of which 1200 square meters for 10,000 class purification plant, and 200 square meters for 100 class purification plant (mainly for COB). This industry plant is equipped with a series of internationally advanced machines such as optical chip test apparatus, automatic microtomes, automatic chip mounters, automatic chip press welders, automatic wire bonders, automatic dispensers, and computer assisted CIS test apparatus. At present, the CIS modules production capacity can be up to 170,000 per month, and 100,000 units per month for scanners or other products. Syscan has a world-class R & D team. So far, our company has acquired more than 100 patents worldwide, including in Mainland China, the United States, Taiwan area, Japan, and South Korea. One American Appraisal Company has assessed 19 patents of them and showed their value up to 1,486,600,000 Hong Kong dollars. The Chinese Ministry of Information Industry has approved Syscan's patent technologies of "Grid Matrix Code" and the "Compact Matrix Code" to be the electronic industry official standard in 2006. And in 2008, the Grid Matrix Code was approved to be the international 2D bar code standard by the AIM global. Syscan has become a world-class manufacturer in the field of optical sensor & imaging technology and 2D Bar code technology. Now we have been mainly engaged in the following areas: CIS (contact image sensor) modules; Portable USB mobile scanners; 2D barcode scanner&system and solution; Kinds of ID cards (Passports and insurance cards) scanner /reader Syscan is a ISO9001:2000 certified enterprise.
