To insure the finish does not break down under heavy pressure, such as a chair or high heels. - Cross Sectional Test. To confirm a perfect adhesion of the coats. A grid is cut into the finish then an adhesive tape is applied and removed. - Film Weight Test. The thickness of each coat of finish is measured with a precision balance. - Gloss Test. The percentage of gloss is measured in order to guarantee a uniform gloss level.
