I represent MARTINESE cork company, we are a Sardinian cork producer which manufactures high quality cork stoppers (natural cork stoppers monopiece and agglomerated cork stoppers with discs 1 + 1 or 0 + 2) for still and sparkling wines. Martinese, in order to produce a cork stopper which is free from anomalous odours and tastes which are releasable to wine, applies an attentive and rigorous selection of the raw cork from the harvest stage followed by a sophisticated sensorial and chemical analysis, particularly relating to 2, 4, 6-triclorohanisole using GC-MS (gascromatography-mass spectrometry) . Martinese is certified: ISO 9001; and SITECODE CE LIEGE (International code of practice for the production of cork stoppers) .
