2356Tetramethylpyrazine is a white crystal, alias ligustrazine. Ligustrazine is a bioactive component, a widely used traditional Chinese medicine. It can inhibit platelet aggregation, enhance vascular dilatation, increase cerebral blood flow, and has a neuroprotective effect. Ligustrazine injection has been widely used in the treatment of ischemic stroke, coronary heart disease, diabetic nephropathy and knee osteoarthritis in China. Ligustrazine has also been evaluated as a clinical treatment of pressure ulcers, as a salvage agent for patients with non-Hodgkin\'s lymphoma, and as a treatment for bronchial asthma and vertebrobasilar artery insufficiency.

Uses

GB 2760-1996 is temporarily allowed to used in soft drinks and nuts.
