All the motors have Kingsbury type thrust bearing with exceptionally high thrust load capacity .the 8thrust bearings have been tested at thrust loads in excess of 10 tonnes
These motors have high efficiencies ,high full load speeds and a low temperature rise.
Features
ALLSME submersible motor are re-windable , and are fitted with PT100s so that the internal temperatures in the motor can be monitored during operation the motor can be monitored during operation of motor-even through it might be 200 meters down a bore hole/well
In general the standard frame size for a submersible motor refers to the size of the bore hole that the motor can be used in .the motors are made to standard NEMA external dimensions .an SME8motor is 192mm/79/16outside diameter so there is a 5.6mm clearance round the motor in an 8 hole provided the motor is reasonably central in the hole.
The motors can be offered with the following standard voltages and frequencies in 2 pole or 4 pole speeds:380v 50hz,400v 50hz,415v 50 hz,1000v 50hz,3300v 50hz,6600v 50hz,380v 60hz,460v 60hz,2300v 60hz,4160v 60hz.other non standard voltages and frequencies can also be offered.

The motor can be offer in standard construction with a 316 stainless steel body and cast iron ends-painted with a nontoxic 2ack epoxy-or-stainless steel construction where all the external parts are 316SS .SME can also build duplex and super duplex motors for extreme conditions offshore with chemical dosing.
SME build water filled water/water tight submersible motors in the following size-6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20and larger. SEM also design and build specials ,such as heat exchanger submersible motor for the water with a high ambient temperature ,or oil filled motors for very cold conditions such as offshore in Alaska.
