Our PTFE lips seal was introduced in the early 1998. The seals were designed to bridge the gap between conventional elastomer lip seals and mechanical face seals. Hostile environments, such as extreme temperatures, aggressive media, high surface speeds, high pressures, and lack of lubrication, forced the designer to specify expensive and complicated mechanical face type seals. "QuanSeal" PTFE lips seal provides the designer a significant improvement on performance over elastomer lip seals at a much lower cost than the mechanical face seal. QuanSeal PTFE lip seals solve difficult applications that are not addressed by conventional elastomer seals. They exceed the performance of elastomer lip seals in the following areas:1) Lower friction2) Generates less torque: less heat, requires less power3) Typical applications: conveyor rollers, electric motors, rolling stock, generators, compressors, vacuum pumps, high performance vehicles4) Aggressive media resistance5) Unaffected by solvents, chemicals, acids, synthetic & adulterated oilsFeatures:1) Typical applications: chemical processing equipment, pumps, mixers, agitators, blenders, pharmaceutical & food industries2) Surface speed up to 35m/s3) Working temperature: -100 ~ +250oC)4) Typical applications: aerospace, military, automotive, steel mills, crankshafts, moulding machines5) Has extended seal life in dry or abrasive media6) Reduced breakout friction and restriction7) Typical applications: powder sealing, dust/dirt excluders, off road vehicles, radar equipment, paper mills8) Pressure: up to 6MPa
