Product Details
In the permanent mold process, aluminum is poured into steel or iron molds containing cavities and allowed to cool. Molds are separated hydraulically and the castings are extracted.
Dees 71,000 square-foot foundry facility offers both sand and permanent mold casting processes. The sand casting process uses Olivine sand, which is molded around wood, plastic and or metal patterns using Hunter and Roto-Lift equipment. Metal is poured into mold cavities and then is allowed to cool before being separated from the sand.
