Technical Spcifications
The 3 rotating ampoules are sealed by a pointed flame at a spot at least 13 mm below the neck opening. As soon as the melting point of the glass has been reached, the ends of the necks are gripped by the tongs and pulled out. At the same time, the neck ends are rotated in the flame for a short time so that uniform and solid tips are formed. The remaining of the drawn out parts of the neck fall through a chute into a receptacle below. Fusion is done by a burner using a mixture of Acetylene and oxygen. The drawing tongs are arranged in such a way that no glass or other residues can enter the ampoules The burners are suitable for either butane gas or acetylene gas.
Sealing Station
Proportioning of the filled liquid is affected without dripping by the pumps. Pumps and filling needles are made out of stainless steel. The connceting hoses are made out of pure latex. But for the viscous solution, the pressure tube is required. Since the filling accuracy depends on the piston diameter, it is necessary to use several inter- changeable pumps, for the range of possible fillings : from 1 to 2 ml; 3 to 7ml;7to 12m1; 12to20ml.
Filling Station
Cadmach Automatic 3-Head Ampoule Filling & sealing machine is designed for handling filling and sealing economically for bulk pro- duction. The machine is suitable for the filling range from 1 to 20 ml. The machine works with 3 accurately calibrated pumps to fill 3 ampoules and to seal them at a time. It has the pre and past gasing stations, the filling station and the pull sealing station. IF is provided with a stainless steel hopper for the empty ampoules which move by their own weight on the conveyor chain on which the forward move- ment of the ampoules from station to station is affected in a slightly inclined position. The filled and sealed ampoules are arranged in the discharging magazing. The coveyor is suitable, only for one or two sizes of ampoules and it requires interchangeable cells of the conveyor for other size of ampoules.
