Our drilling division utilizes a reverse rotary drilling rig capable of drilling and completing wells to depths of +/- 5000 feet.
Barbour's under-balanced drilling methods virtually eliminate these issues and give us the ability to gain a greater control on the hole structure without contaminating the formations and offer better completions and a better producing finished product.
Soft formation oil well drilling, using conventional drilling methods has traditionally experienced challenges such as lost circulation and damage to the surrounding formations.
Shallow oil well and geothermal drilling is one of Barbour's specialty applications. Due to our reverse rotary underbalanced methods for shallow oil well drilling, especially in soft formations, such as diatomite, have been producing consistent and exceptional shallow production oil and geothermal wells.
