Ambest Liquid / Vapor Detector KW-260 is designed for hydrocarbon leak detection at petrol stations in monitoring wells (either dry or flooded) where the string sensor can hang vertically, extending to the bottom of the well or cavity. A weight attached to the sensor keeps it taut. The sensor responds to contact with selected petroleum fuels and chemicals by breaking, thus releaslng the weight. When the weight is released, a spring-activated mechanism in the Detector opens a magnetic switch, which in turn triggers an alarm at the remote Sensor Monitor KW-300 console. Each Liquid / Vapor Detector requires a dedicated signal cable running to the remote console.
