Then we lost money very easily. Of course, we are doing neccesary steps to recover our loss, including legal activities. We realized they are scammer, cheater quite late.
After we known the problem, he always try to avoid to contact with us (by phone, skype, email). We sent to them full information for claim with SGS reports and requested them to transfer the refund directly to our company account. But he has never confirmed to pay. He promised to discount into next shipment but has never said clearly how much to discount, what is the payment term of this next shipment. Maybe he thinks can ship to us some more waste other than really want to compensate us!
He asked the shipping line to held the cargo until already receipt full payment. Because, otherwise, we may known the actual cargo quality and do something to stop payment before he received.
Payment term is irrevocable LC at sight. The bank never check, consider and/or responsible for the reality of a document, evenif they found its fake very clearly. That's mentioned in UCP600.
He shipped to me 72 mton of impurity and weight short is 40mt. Remaining is scrap of very lower grade. He used a fake (not a original & genuine) inspection certificate at loading port to present to the bank for payment.
I bought from Oasis Supply & Trade LLC (Oklahoma, USA) 500MT steel scrap HMS 1/2 rate 80:20% for a trial contract last year. Prior to signing trial contract, I had carefully checked this company and never found any suspected symbol. Director is Jide Famuagun.
