How to adjust the impeller clearance of AF foam pump

AF foam pump is specially used to transport slurry with foam. Like AH and other slurry pumps, the gap between the impeller and the rear guard needs to be adjusted. Today we will talk about how to adjust the impeller clearance of the foam pump.

First, if the pump is running, you need to stop the pump first. After all the materials in the pump chamber are cleared, loosen the bolts that fasten the bearing body. Then add an adjusting shim between the bearing body and the material box connection to move the bearing assembly upward. At the same time, rotate the shaft in the pump running direction by hand until the impeller and the guard plate rub slightly. Then tighten the fastening bolts and recheck whether the impeller rotates normally.

For metal-lined foam pumps, the gap between the impeller and the guard plate is 0.5-1 mm. The rubber-lined foam pump moves the bearing assembly downward so that the impeller is in contact with the sheath. Based on the total movement of the bearing assembly, half of this distance is taken as the gap between the impeller and the sheath.
