The motors equipped with ZJ slurry pumps are generally ordinary asynchronous motors. When designing, the main performance parameters considered are overload capacity, starting performance, efficiency and power factor. As for the variable frequency motor, since the critical slip is inversely proportional to the power frequency, it can be started directly when the critical slip is close to 1. Therefore, overload capacity and starting performance no longer need to be considered too much. The main magnetic circuit of the variable frequency motor is generally designed to be in an unsaturated state. First, it is considered that high-order harmonics will deepen the saturation of the magnetic circuit. Second, it is considered that at low frequencies, in order to increase the output torque, the output voltage of the frequency converter should be appropriately increased.

When designing the structure, the impact of non-sinusoidal power supply characteristics on the insulation structure, vibration, noise cooling method, etc. of the variable frequency motor is mainly considered. For constant power variable frequency motors, when the speed exceeds 3,000 rpm, special high-temperature resistant grease should be used to compensate for the temperature increase of the shaft.
