The Slotted Body Insert has been designed for use in plastics and thin gauge sheet metal applications where increased pull-out resistance is required. The round body has four slotted segments that fold outward from the hole center as the insert is installed, to grip the host material from the backside. They can be used in single, variable or multiple thicknesses of materials with no adjustments, when installed with proper hand or pneumatic torque tools. These inserts are standard with a round head, or order a square head to be used in embossed or molded square-shaped recesses for maximum spin out resistance. Note 2: Grip ranges will be less than stated below when using torque type installation tools, and will be affected by the tool RPM speed, stall torque, hole size and parent material density.
